Description
This magazine release utilizes our innovative retention design eliminating the factory plastic catch and is designed as a direct replacement and reliability upgrade for the OEM Macro mag release to be installed on all factory and aftermarket grip modules/frames that require the “Macro” catch. This Macro version maintains the same height as the factory macro catch but with a knurled flat button profile for improved reach. Just like our extended Macro mag release, the catch side is profiled for a flush look to OEM macro frames and any aftermarket frames that follow the macro profile on the trigger guard and magazine release area – see below for fitment info.
Made right here in the USA from 17-4 Stainless Steel and coated in black DLC for a long service life.

GRIP MODULE/FRAME FITMENT
If your current grip module uses the extended plastic catch with the extra flap of plastic covering the back of the release this is the one for you
Confirmed flush fit on the catch side on the following frames:
- Sig Macro
- Icarus Air Polymer
- Wilson Combat Macro ONLY (XL and other Wilson frames require our Standard Mag Release)
- Mischief Machine Alpha Gen 3/Commander Gen 2 (Original Commander and others require our Standard Mag Release)
SIG SAUER AXG GRIP MODULE FITMENT
Our Standard version is recommended for the most “OEM” look on AXG grips. If you are looking for an extended mag release, please see our Extended Macro variant. Please note, the Macro version will stick out past the side of the grip module as shown below. OEM Macro plastic catch shown for comparison, our fitment is designed to replicate the OEM fitment.
